“Dad, I want a pair of sunglasses for my summer vacation on the mountain. I will ski on the snow; there must be a pair of sunglasses. I want one of Ray-Ban…”

 “That is too expensive, your mom and I both have a pair of sunglasses, you can take one as you like.”

 “No, yours are out of fashion, what’s more, I want a pair of polarized sunglasses because skiing need this kind of sunglasses.”

 “Polarized? Ours are polarized. When we bought them, the shop assistant told us they were polarized.”

 “Really? I don’t believe. Can I have a check?”

 “Sure, they are on the desk of my room.”

 I find my parents’ two sunglasses and begin to check. I double two glasses and I can see through them. Then, I upright one of them and thus the two form an angle of 90. I see through again, this time I can’t see anything. Oh, they are really polarized sunglasses! I can’t believe. For so many years, I thought them were just useless, out of fashion sunglasses, but them are unexpectedly polarized!

 “Dad, they are really polarized. When did you buy them?”

 “Do you really want to know? The two sunglasses are the reason why your mom marries me, do you believe?”

 “Wow, really? Dad, you must tell me in detail!”

 “Ok, it was really a simple story. Your mom then was a beauty famous in our town. Nearly every boy fell in love with her; of course I was one of them. Some one invited her to dinner, some one sent her flowers…but I was poor at that time and I just invited her to go fishing. And this is why we have these two pair of sunglasses. Since then, your mom went out only with me. The other boys called me lucky dog. I was really lucky.” dad laughed as if going back to those beautiful days.

 “Wow that was really romantic! Why didn’t tell me before? I am touched. Dad, you don’t need to buy sunglasses for me. I will take yours for my vacation.”
